♚ VISUAL: Tall and solidly built, Genya is quick to offer a smile and a helping hand. Born of a Human woman and a travelling Genasi royal from tropical waters,, Genya has an aqua complexion that mimics the underwater environment and thick blue hair that he wears pulled up and out of the way. Due to injuries sustained on his last adventure, he lost functioning in his left eye and has noticeable weakness in his right shoulder. The shoulder is (slowly) improving; the eye is a permanent injury that will not heal further than it has.

♚ DEMEANOUR: Genya's laidback warmth is evident in all affairs in his life, be it the taverns along the shores of the lake he hails from to the pristine royal halls that his younger half siblings call home. His jokes may take a sharper tone at times when he feels like he is under scrutiny, but he does his best to fulfill his duties as the eldest brother to the two princesses and to not let his strained relationship with his father, the King, get in the way.

♚ MEDICAL INFORMATION: Genya is a Genasi that was born of a union with a Human woman and a travelling Genasi.  This not only means that he is gifted with the strengths of his Genasi and Human lineages, including the capability to breathe under water. However, unlike his full blooded Genasi siblings, he has a difficult time communicating effectively underwater. His Genasi stepmother encourages him to use a form of sign language, but it's rarely accommodated.

Note: Genya is Gender and Fluid. Genasi in this setting have variable biological sex features and their gender is determined by their personal choice and their role.

♚ MAGICAL INFORMATION:

As noted above, Genya is Gender and Fluid. He is a shapeshifter to a minor degree, with variable anatomy to suit his needs and ability to change his overall appearance without necessarily changing it's composition. As a Water Genasi, he could theoretically take the shape of any creature, but it would appear in his base color pallet and appear to be composed of water and aquatic features. He cannot make himself take the shape of another, only alter his own shape. 

He prefers to take a masculine form, and due to being half human he is a little more rigid on his physique matching how he identifies himself. Fullblooded Genasi do not necessarily beholden themselves to human interpretations of gender, but will adopt physical features as necessary when working amidst humans or other people who care about such matters for ease of overall relations.

Personal notes for full arc: 

Recent injuries sustained in an incident wherein a former ally who had been unwittingly left in the clutches of an Evil entity and was ultimately corrupted by the experience. Thus, the injuries were inflicted with an anti-Magic curse-- forcing his recovery without magical assistance. The injuries to his shoulder were such that an infection which caused high fever and seizures set in, which Genya barely survived and is still recovering from. His left eye is still intact, but unfocused and glazed over from a damaged lens on the cornea. As the eye is unnerving to look upon and still sensitive to light, Genya opts to keep it covered with an eyepatch.

 Genya has lingering problems with sustaining his magical connections, which is a blow for a Paladin who swore an Oath upon the ancient powers of nature itself. This may partly be related to his mental status-- he is having trouble Reigniting the Light of his magic and his Oath, and thus feels incapable of Being the Light for his family and friends. 




Genya has no major mental quirks of note, although he does have notable depression and PTSD from the relatively recent traumas which he endured for the sake of his travelling party and his missing friend.
